Canada’s Energy Future 2023 – Modeling Methods

Canada’s Energy Future series explores how possible energy futures might unfold for Canadians over the long term. We use economic and energy models, the Energy Futures Modeling System, to do this analysis. These Modeling Methods describe the Energy Futures Modeling System, with a detailed look at each of the models that create the energy demand, supply, and emission projections in Canada’s Energy Future 2023: CER’s first long-term outlook modeling net-zero by 2050.
